„Music begins where words end. But where does music end? Music is
infinite, since she is the voice of the human soul.”
I quote my favourite words of Otto Klemperer, as they beautifully
express the condition to which I aspire in my music. Wagner, who
called music “the Language of Passion”, gives voice to the labyrinth
of emotional depth, through which the interpreter must find his way in
order to enter the heart and mind of the composer. Through composers,
performers, with great dedication, are granted the pleasures of
exploring the world of great art, and more urgently, to pass these
experiences to others in manifold ways. I find that the importance of
details can never be overestimated- the legacy of the composer, if it
were to be respected, should compel the interpreters to constantly
re-evaluate the music through understanding the story as illustrated
by the writer himself.
Music that moves us, that makes us doubt and hope, is one without
artificial effects or self-projection- she longs for a world full of
colours and emotions, which are set into relief by enduring humility
and love. All these aspects drive us from an early age to practise
with dedication and pleasure.
And what better job is there than inspiring others and ourselves with
something we love?
